What the Quran Says about Martyers (Shaheeds)
By all means, Farman Ali Khan, a Pakistani Pathan, is a martyr and cannot be considered as dead. What Quran says about a martyr is mentioned as under:-
1. "Think not of those who are slain in the way of Allah as dead. Nay, they are living with their Lord. They have provisions. They are jubilant because of that which Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounties, rejoicing for the sake of those who have not joined them but are left behind. That there shall no fear come upon them, neither shall they grieve. They rejoice because of favor from Allah and kindness and that Allah wastes not the wages of believers." (3:169-171)
2. They rejoice in the bounty provided by Allah. And with regard to those left behind, who have not yet joined them (in their bliss), the (martyrs) glory in the fact that on them is no fear, nor have they (cause to) grieve. 3:170
3. (Picktall) And those who believe in Allah and His messengers, they are the loyal; and the martyrs are with their Lord; they have their reward and their light; while as for those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, they are owners of hell fire. 57:19
